Frequent Acupuncture Sessions Effective for Fibromyalgia

This webMD article discusses a study done at the Mayo Clinic during which the study group not only experienced less pain, but also less anxiety and fatigue. These are great findings! Like many other studies done, patients came 5 days a week for their treatments, which is much more similar to how acupuncture is practiced in China. Here, in the United States, it is the norm to see patients 1-2 times per week. While our patients do get better, and often quickly, those with more severe problems, such as fibromyalgia, may experience frustration at the slow progress of these once per week visits. In order to encourage more frequent visits when needed, we will be launching "A Year of Wellness" program in the new year. Keep an eye on our website www.ahha-clinic.com for updates.
